<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing laurolactam which can be suitably used for eliminating much energy loss by the Beckmann rearrangement of cyclododecanone oxime using a small amount of catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: By using catalytic amounts of phosphorus pentoxide-methanesulfonic acid mixture and zinc chloride, the Beckmann rearrangement of cyclododecanone oxime is easily progressed, laurolactam is obtained, and the quantity of catalysts can be reduced and the much energy loss can be eliminated. In the method of producing the laurolactam by the Beckmann rearrangement of cyclododecanone oxime, the catalytic amount of phosphorus pentoxide-methanesulfonic acid mixture and the zinc chloride are used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
