<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having high mechanical strength even though being thin, capable of reinforcing strength of a liquid crystal panel to reduce warpage of the liquid crystal panel, capable of preventing the occurrence of static electricity in a process of being stuck to the liquid crystal panel and having high product yield; and to provide a liquid crystal display using the same and having excellent visibility and whose color unevenness is suppressed when being obliquely observed. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizing plate includes a polarizer film composed of a polyvinyl alcohol resin and a stretched polyethylene terephthalate film layered on one side of the polarizer film and includes an antistatic agent. The liquid crystal display includes the liquid crystal panel where the polarizing plate further having an adhesive layer on an outer surface opposite to the stretched polyethylene terephthalate film of the polarizer film is stuck to a liquid crystal cell via the adhesive layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
