PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity storage column for a vending machine , in which the movable range of a spacer can be changed without increasing the kinds of components. SOLUTION: A bending piece 4f arranged in the spacer 4 is bent to a position for abutment onto a slide member 5, thereby restricting the vertical movement of the slide member 5 at a prescribed position. Thus, when the movement of the slide member 5 is not restricted by the bending piece 4f, the bending piece 4f is not bent to thereby enlarge the movable range of the spacer 4, and when is bent, the movable range of the spacer 4 can be reduced. Consequently, even when the movable range of the spacer 4 is different depending on specifications, the movable range of the spacer 4 is changed without using the plurality of kinds of spacers different in the length of long holes 4c, for example, and hence a cost is reduced without increasing the kinds of the components.
