PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire that reduces an effect caused by magnetic field arising from the magnetization of steel cords used as a reinforcement material of belt layers. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire has at least one diagonal steel belt layer 1 structured with a plurality of steel cords arranged in parallel diagonally to the tire equatorial plane. Magnetic shield members 2 are arranged so as to cover both end portions in the tire width direction of the diagonal steel belt layer 1 at least from the outside of the tire radial direction. It is desirable to arrange the magnetic shield members 2 so as to wrap both end portions in the tire width direction of the diagonal steel belt layer from inside and outside of the tire radial direction. It is also desirable to arrange the shield members so as to cover the entire outside in the tire radial direction of the diagonal steel belt layer. Especially, it is more desirable to arrange the shield members so as to wrap the entire diagonal steel belt layer from inside and outside in the tire radial direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
