PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharging device of a diesel engine capable of suppressing shock when an engine is stopped and deterioration in combustability when the engine is restarted. SOLUTION: The supercharging device of a diesel engine includes an electric supercharger (34) for supercharging air in an intake passage (20) by rotating a compressor (35) disposed in the intake passage (20) by electric power, an exhaust gas recirculation passage (70) for connecting the intake passage (20) to an exhaust passage (50), an electric supercharger control means (106) for controlling operation of the electric supercharger (34) to rotate the electric supercharger (34) in reverse with respect to normal rotation when the engine is stopped, and an exhaust gas recirculation valve control means (104) for controlling an exhaust gas recirculation valve to close the exhaust gas recirculation valve disposed in the exhaust gas recirculation passage (70) when the engine is stopped.
