PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of preventing noises and vibrations generated by running of a motor-driven blower and downsizing a space where the blower is housed by resiliently supporting the blower housed inside a blower case. SOLUTION: A resilient support body 13 includes a vibration proofing support base for isolating the vibrations generated by the blower 10 and is provided with an inner-periphery ring 28 provided on the blower case 12, an outer-periphery ring 29 provided in close proximity to the center of gravity of the blower 10 and a coil spring 30, or a spring member, of which one end is fixed to the ring 28 and the other end is fixed to the ring 29 and to which a compressive force F is applied. The spring 18 and a motor support part coil spring 19 consist of an axial-vibration proofing support part for resiliently supporting axial shifts of the blower 10 to isolate the vibrations and axially support the blower 10 housed inside the case 12.
