SOLVENT FOR DISSOLVING ELECTROLYTE SALT OF LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY

Disclosed is a solvent for dissolving an electrolyte salt of a lithium secondary battery, which contains at least one fluorine-containing solvent (I) selected from the group consisting of fluorine-containing ethers, fluorine-containing esters and fluorine-containing chain carbonates, 1,2-dialkyl-1,2-difluoroethylene carbonate (II), and another carbonate (III). A nonaqueous electrolyte solution containing the solvent and an electrolyte salt, and a lithium secondary battery using the nonaqueous electrolyte solution are also disclosed. The solvent for dissolving an electrolyte salt of a lithium secondary battery enables formation of a lithium secondary battery which specifically excels in discharge capacity, rate characteristics and cycle characteristics, while having improved incombustibility (safety).
