METHOD FOR PRODUCING WATER-ABSORBING POLYLACTIC ACID FIBER STRUCTURE, WATER-ABSORBING POLYLACTIC ACID FIBER STRUCTURE AND FIBER PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a water-absorbing polylactic acid fiber structure in which the fiber strength of the polylactic acid fiber contained in the fiber structure is larger, to provide the water-absorbing polylactic acid fiber structure obtained by the production method, and to provide a fiber product obtained by using the water-absorbing polylactic acid fiber structure.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the water-absorbing polylactic acid fiber structure composed of a polylactic acid composition containing (i) a poly(L-lactic acid) (component A), (ii) a poly(D-lactic acid) (component B) and (iii) a specific metal salt (component C) of a phosphoric acid ester of 0.05-5 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the total of the components (A) and (B) is provided. The fiber structure is preferably a woven fabric or a knitted fabric.
