PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable precise imposition of a pair of link members on a key top; and to enable effective prevention of accidental removal of the key top from a pair of the link members. SOLUTION: The key switch device includes: the key top 72 arranged on a base so as to be able to move in an elevating direction; and a pair of the link members 74 which guides and supports the key top 72 on the base in the elevating direction. In each of a pair of spindles 86 placed in a second end region of each link member 74, one slit 94 linearly extending in a direction perpendicular to a pivot axis 92 is formed. The slit 94 of each spindle 86 is arranged in substantially parallel to a notch 76b disposed in each pivot portion 76 of the key top 72 when the key top 72 is in the lower limit position of an elevating stroke, and thus the spindle 86 is composed so as to be able to pass through the notch 76b while being elastically deformed.
