PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle AC generator capable of increasing brush cooling and ventilation air capacity to eliminate brush powders, and capable of improving a brush service life and eliminating property of the brush powders by equalizing cooling property of a pair of brushes. SOLUTION: The vehicle AC generator includes: a brush holder 53 for housing the brushes 51, 52 in sliding contact with slip couplings 37, 38, a connection terminal 155 fixed to the brush holder 53; a brush lead 60 electrically connecting the brushes and a connection terminal; and a spring ring cover 54 to cover the outer peripheral part of the slip rings 37, 38 together with the brush holder 53. In the brush holder 53, a brush housing part 150 and a brush lead housing part 151 are formed, and a first vent hole 170 is also formed which directly communicates with the brush lead housing part 151 and becomes an intake and exhaust path against an internal space in the vicinity of a brush sliding part.
