PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength and safety of a nonaqueous electrolyte battery, having a battery element packaged with a film-like outer package body, such as, laminated film. SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte battery is to be provided with a battery element with a cathode and an anode opposed to each other with a separator in-between, a film-like outer package body storing the battery element and electrolyte in an enclosed space, and a resin protective layer formed substantially of constant thickness along the surface of the film-like outer package body.
