PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of automatically adjusting a projection video on a screen without distorting the projection video. SOLUTION: The projector 1 constituted to adjust the projection video G on the screen SC while maintaining a projection angleθ1 includes: a projector main body 2 which projects the projection video G to the screen SC; a screen information acquiring means which acquires deviation h in an up-and-down direction of the projection video G relative to the screen SC; a lifting mechanism 4 on which the projector main body 2 is placed and which elevates and lowers the placed projector main body 2; and a control means which controls the lifting mechanism 4 on the basis of the deviation so that the position of the screen and the position of the projection video G in the up-and-down direction may be aligned with each other.
