PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of improving mechanical force to be applied to an object to be washed and improving washing performance. SOLUTION: The washing machine 1 includes a control part 150, a drum 129 for housing the object 2 to be washed, an outer tub 130 covering the outer peripheral surface of the drum 120 for holding washing water, a jetting nozzle 200 for jetting the washing water to the object 2 to be washed housed inside the drum 120, and a turning shaft for turning the jetting nozzle 200. The drum 120 is supported so as to be rotated around a rotary axis extending in a horizontal direction or a rotary axis inclined with respect to the horizontal direction inside the outer tub 130, and the control part 150 is configured so as to turn the jetting nozzle 200 around the turning shaft to change the direction of jetting the washing water from the jetting nozzle 200 on the basis of the quantity of the object 2 to be washed housed in the drum 120.
