PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire molding drum in which each sector is accurately guided by a rod and thereby a time before a next cycle starts is shortened. SOLUTION: In the tire molding drum, two coaxial half-drums 5 move in opposite directions along a common axis line 3, each half-drum 5 has an expandable bead clamping device 18 defined by a ring of sectors 25, each having a radial rod 22, and the sectors 25 are movable to and from an expanded position by an actuating device 21 to clamp each bead bundle 19. The actuating device 21 has a powered body 32 which is movable back and forth along the axis line 3 and supports a number of individual guide members 42. Each individual guide member 42 is connected positively to a radial rod 22 of each sector 25 to move the corresponding sector 25 to and from the expanded position in response to axial displacement of the powered body 32.
