Provided are a solid imaging device and the like that are configured to obtain a high resolution image even in the case where any of row selection wires is disconnected. The solid imaging device (1) is provided with a light receiving unit (10), a signal reading-out unit (20), a row selection unit (30), a column selection unit (40), an overflow prevention unit (50), and a control unit (60). The light receiving unit (10) has an M x N pixel units (P1,1-PM,N) arranged two-dimensionally in an M-row and N-column matrix-like form, wherein each of the pixel units (P1,1-PM,N) includes a photo diode to generate an electric charge amount in accordance with the intensity of incident light and a reading-out switch connected with the photo diode. Each of N pixel units (Pm,1-Pm,N) belonging to the m-th row is connected with the row selection unit (30) and the overflow prevention unit (50) through the m-th row selection wire (LV,m).
