PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for breaking a bag capable of placing even at a narrow space, having a low manufacturing cost, also capable of efficiently breaking a garbage bag, and capable of preventing the garbage bag and garbage, after breakage of a bag is completed, from winding round the apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus for breaking the bag comprises a fixed blade disposed in a position crossing a rotation shaft attached with a plurality of rotation blades and the rotation blade of the rotation shaft in a bag breakage chamber having an introduction hopper upward and a discharge port downward, and a winding cutting blade disposed in a position where the blade face is adjacent to the rotation shaft at the opposite side to the fixed blade sandwiching the rotation shaft.
