A polymer-based, gellable injectable solution (I), for intra-tissue and/or intravascular implantation, comprising: (a) linear polymer(s) insoluble in water but soluble in water-miscible solvents; (b) crosslinked, hydrophilic, water-insoluble polymer(s) having affinity for (A); and (c) biocompatible, water-miscible solvent(s), is new. An Independent claim is included for an intermediate solution based on linear copolymers, containing at least one linear copolymer of hydroxypropyl methacrylate with acrylonitrile, N-tert. butylacrylamide or acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate and at least one solvent (C).
