The component (6) has a tube (7) with a transverse borehole (8) doubly piercing a tube wall (12). A traction element (11) e.g. bar and locking pin, is arranged in the transverse borehole and connected with the tube wall at ends (11a, 11b) of the traction element. An enlargement is provided at one of ends, where a screw joint and a rivet joint are provided at the ends. A pressure sleeve joint and a locking ring pin joint are provided at the other end. The tube is aligned in longitudinal and transverse directions of a vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a body component.
