A tie rod of a steering system for an automobile is provided to prevent an outer ball boot of an outer ball joint from being deformed and prevent foreign materials from being infiltrated inside an outer ball housing by forming an outer ball sheet on the outer ball housing. A tie rod of a steering system for an automobile is composed of a ball pin(110), an inner ball housing(120), and an outer ball housing(140). In both ends of the ball pin, an inner ball(111) and an outer ball(112) are formed in a horizontal direction. The inner ball housing accepts the inner ball in the horizontal direction, so an inner ball joint(J1) is formed. The inner ball housing is coupled to a rack bar(200) of a steering gear box. The inner ball housing comprises a threaded part and a nut(130). The outer ball housing accepts the outer ball in the horizontal direction so, the outer ball joint(J2) is formed. The outer ball housing is coupled to a knuckle arm coupling part of a steering knuckle arm in the horizontal state.
