IMPROVED LOW−COST DENTIFRICE COMPOSITION

An improved low-cost dentifrice composition comprises from about 6 % to about 70 % of an abrasive polishing material, from about 0.5 % to about 4.5 % of a thickener, from about 0.5 % to about 45 % of a hexahydric humectant, from about 0.05 % to about 2.5 % of an anti-cavity agent, and at least about 30 % of water. The composition comprises less than about 10 % dihydric and trihydric alcohols, and has a viscosity of from about 8 to about 100 BKU.
