#CMT# #/CMT# The tubular arm (2) is mainly supported (8) at a single location by a cup (1) and point (3) bearing. A secondary bearing (9) stabilizes the arm in lateral balance. A stabilizer-cylinder (5) is mounted parallel to the arm. It lies at right angles to a rotatable, cylindrical component (4) located coaxially below the bearing tip, so forming the secondary bearing location (9). The extent of the cylindrical component corresponds with that of a ball- or sintered bearing. The stabilizer cylinder is made from high-strength steel or carbon fiber.
