PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door device for an elevator capable of preventing failure of opening/closing of a door panel. SOLUTION: The door device for the elevator is provided with a plurality of door motors for opening/closing-driving the door panel 20; an endless toothed belt 26 wound on a drive wheel connected to each of the plurality of the door motors and transmitting drive force from the door motor to the door panel 20; a plurality of pulse encoders for individually outputting a pulse signal corresponding to a rotation speed of the plurality of door motors; a plurality of current detection parts for individually detecting a current energized to the plurality of door motors and outputting a current signal; a door control circuit 41 for controlling action of the plurality of door motors based on the pulse signal and the current signal; and an abnormal state detection part 70 for detecting the abnormal state of at least one of the door motor, the toothed belt 26, the pulse encoder and the current detection part based on at least one of the pulse signal and the current signal.
