<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of appropriately controlling the display characteristic parameter of a sub-display and the display characteristic parameter of a main display in a linked or non-linked manner with each other, and to provide a control method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The display device 100 includes: a main display displaying-controlling part 113 which controls the display characteristic parameter of the main display 106; and a sub-display displaying-controlling part 114 which controls the display characteristic parameter of the sub-display 107. A decision part 110 decides whether or not data are to be emphasized according to the content of the data displayed on the sub-display. The sub-display displaying-controlling part 114 controls the display characteristic parameter of the sub-display 107 non-linked with the main display 106 when it is decided that the data are to be emphasized, and controls the display characteristic parameter of the sub-display 107 linked with the main display 106 when it is not decided that the data are to be emphasized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
