PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus which has improved sensitivity and superior color reproducibility even when a photodetection portion decreases in area or when light beams transmitted at respective wavelengths are different in light condensing state, and to provide a manufacturing method of microlenses.

SOLUTION: Light condensing efficiency is enhanced by providing microlenses differing in height to obtain a solid-state imaging apparatus having high sensitivity and superior color reproducibility. Further, the light condensing efficiency is enhanced by providing microlenses differing in refractive index to obtain a solid-state imaging apparatus having high sensitivity and superior color reproducibility.
