PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for performing the aberration correction of an optical system in an imaging system or a display system at a higher speed and in a memory-saved state. SOLUTION: One of a plurality of color components composing pixels in an image affected by a chromatic aberration generated in the optical system is set as a reference color and transformation for correcting the distortion of the optical system with respect to the image is applied to the coordinates of the pixels with respect to the reference color to calculate transformed coordinates. By using the relationship of a ratio of difference values between the calculated coordinates and coordinates obtained by applying transformation to the coordinates of the image with respect to other colors excluding the reference color out of the plurality of color components, a correction value indicating a color shift amount is calculated. On the basis of the calculated correction value, coordinates obtained by applying transformation to the coordinates of the image with respect to the other colors are calculated.
