<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which corresponds to the high output of an engine in recent years, and can produce a sintered component having excellent dimensional precision even if the shape of a product is complicated. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a sintered component having excellent dimensional precision comprises: a compacting step where raw material powder consisting essentially of iron is filled into the cavity of a mold, and compacting is performed by upper and lower punches; a sintering step where the compact obtained by the compacting step is heated to a temperature less than the melting point of iron, and is sintered; a densifying step where at least a part of the sintered compact obtained by the sintering step is compressed, and is densified; a resintering step where the worked body obtained by the densifying step is resintered at 700 to 1,300°C in a carburizing atmosphere; and a high frequency heat treatment step where the resintered compact obtained by the resintering step is heated by high frequency heating, and is quenched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
