PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant current generator switching system capable of alleviating burden for maintaining lights by shortening the switching time of two regular and substitute power supplies. SOLUTION: This system includes: two regular and substitute constant current generators in each of which a commercial ac single phase power supply, a capacitor for supplying a constant current, and the primary winding of an output transformer are connected in series, and a plurality of input side switching taps to linearly change the amplitude of an ac constant current generated in the secondary winding of the output transformer are provided in the primary winding of the output transformer; and a load circuit in which a plurality of lights internally equipped with electronic light emitting sources are connected in series. The two constant current generators are connected in series so that their output ac currents have mutually reverse phases and are connected to the load circuit to form a series circuit, and each of the two constant current generators has a circuit contactor to separate output terminals from the series circuit by short-circuiting them.
