PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device which reduces a ratio of erroneous document determination during a running reading mode. SOLUTION: The invention relates to an image processing device including an automatic document class discrimination unit for discriminating a document class for image data of a document read by an image reader. In a case where it is decided that image data received from the image reader are read during a mode for reading the document while feeding the document, when determining a class of the document, the automatic document class discrimination unit sets a determination criterion, for determining the class as a document containing a printing paper photograph, higher than a criterion in the case of a mode for reading the document while stopping it.
