PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand drying apparatus which blows out water droplets and efficiently performs drying depending on the angle of an inserted hand or the inserting direction. SOLUTION: A control section 6 which controls the signals of a plurality of hand sensors 7 of a hand section 5 which are installed in the lateral direction on the top surface is equipped with a storage apparatus 9 which stores the inserting angles of hand. The control section 6 stores the inserting angles of hand which have been sensed by the hand sensors 7 of the hand section 5 in the past. Then, the control section 6 controls the direction of a louver 10 to be in the same direction as the inserting angle of the highest frequency, and makes the hand drying apparatus stand by in advance.
