PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television camera with which recording or reproducing operation is easily confirmed without requiring cameraman's viewing. SOLUTION: A CPU 6 acquires an access signal indicating that recording or reproducing operation is in process from a recording medium 5. An audio system DSP and AMP 7 converts the access signal input from the CPU 6 into an access audio signal through program processing, and mixes the converted access audio signal with an audio signal to generate a mixed audio signal. The generated mixed audio signal is amplified by the audio system DSP and AMP 7 and then output as an audio signal for recording or reproducing operation confirmation from a speaker 9.
