PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which solves the problems of search time and search section distortion occurring in DBS method, and to provide image recorder and program. SOLUTION: An entire sheet image to be output is stored in a memory. The image thus stored is divided, a first section of divided image is set in a memory, a DBS method is performed locally for the section thus set as a search section and a binary image is created. A determination is made an whether or not the section size is changed in the binary image thus created. When the section size is changed, the image is divided into images each having a size larger than that of the above divided image, and a plurality of larger divided images are held.
