The invention relates to an appliance for warming a product contained in a container (4), this appliance comprising a base (1) having a support surface (2) on which said container (4) can be placed, and electric warming means housed at least partially in the base (1), said appliance being characterized in that said warming means comprise heat-emitting means (3) acting in a region of the container (4) that is partly or wholly surrounded by the product, this region being separate from the surface (5) in contact with said support surface (2). The heat-emitting means may take the form of a point (3) projecting from the base (1) of the appliance, on which the cavity (6) in the bottom of the container (4) is placed, or the warming means may consist of a ferromagnetic element placed inside the container and the base comprises means for generating an oscillating magnetic field. The appliance may comprise an enclosure for keeping the product warm, which enclosure may be retractable. |
