PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cord switch which has a high sensitivity of non-contacting detection and can alleviate an impact to an object. SOLUTION: The cord switch is provided with a tubular hollow insulator 3 having restoration capacity, a plurality of internal electrode wires 2 arranged inside the hollow insulator 3 with a spacing in circumference direction, a projection part 5 protruded outside of the hollow insulator 3, an external electrode 4 which covers a part of the projection part 5, forms an air layer 7 between the hollow insulator 3, and forms electrostatic capacity between the internal electrode wires 2, and an outer sheath 6 to cover the external electrode 4.
