<p>The present invention (1) relates to a sorting device for sorting products, in particular pieces of luggage, comprising a number of sorting units (2) which are movable in a conveying direction along a conveying path, each sorting unit comprising a carrier (6) for supporting a product to be sorted, an elongated pusher element (7) disposed above an associated carrier, moving means for moving a pusher element sideways (8) with respect to the associated carrier at a sorting location, and guide means for guiding said sideways movement of the pusher element, said guide means comprising at least one guide, which is fixedly disposed relative to the associated carrier, and at least one guide member, which is movable along said at least one fixed guide, which guide member is connected to the pusher element, whilst said moving means comprise at least one driving motor (38,39) for each sorting unit for effecting said sideways movement of the pusher element relative to the associated carrier.</p> |
