PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for complicated operation without considerably modifying an existing development resource when a user or a manager installs, in a computer, a control program for controlling peripheral devices connected via a network. SOLUTION: First identification information corresponding to a peripheral device is recognized from a response to a search request according to a network search protocol, and the recognized first identification information is used to generate second identification information described in such a format as to interpret an install program for installing a control program to an information processing apparatus. The generated second identification information is then input to the install program to be installed to the information processing apparatus, thereby controlling processing for installing the control program into the information processing apparatus using the input second identification information.
