PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring-shaped speaker and a manufacturing method thereof, capable of establishing compatibility between improvement of acoustic characteristics such as a frequency characteristic including suppression of unwanted vibration and an abnormal sound, and facilitation of assembling and reduction in man-days. SOLUTION: This ring-shaped speaker includes diaphragm clamping members for clamping a ring diaphragm. An equalizer is provided with an internal peripheral part which is arranged on the internal periphery of the ring diaphragm and has an insert-molded internal peripheral plate composed of a circular magnetic substance, and an external peripheral part which is arranged on the external periphery of the ring diaphragm and has an insert-molded external peripheral plate composed of a circular magnetic substance, and a plurality of uniting arms for integrally uniting the internal peripheral part and the external peripheral part. One of the diaphragm clamping members is an internal periphery clamping magnet for interposing and holding the internal peripheral end of the ring diaphragm by magnetic force between the magnet and the internal peripheral plate of the equalizer, and the other is an external periphery clamping magnet for interposing and holding the external peripheral end of the ring diaphragm by magnetic force between the magnet and the external peripheral plate of the equalizer.
