A method for sealing flat display panels using a flexible laser irradiation region is provided to be applied to various different panels using a variable transmission unit. A method for sealing flat display panels using a flexible laser irradiation region comprises a step of fusing additives on non-pixel region of a first and second substrate(1,2) including pixel region and non-pixel region in order to protect the pixel region. A laser irradiation device(10) consists of a laser generator and a variable mask. A laser generator(11) has uniform energy distribution about an irradiated area with constant width and breadth. The variable mask(12) includes a plurality of moving blocks. The laser irradiation device allows a laser source to move straight to the opposite end point of the adhesive part. The moving blocks are relatively moved to correspond to the patterns of the adhesive part together with the laser source so that the width of the laser source is adjusted or partitioned. |
