<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive air conditioner capable of improving the service life of an electrostatic atomizer and saving energy by setting a permitted operational region where the electrostatic atomizer can generate desired electrostatic mist without generating noise and ozone, and permitting the operation of the electrostatic atomizer only when the temperature and humidity of the air sucked into an indoor unit are within the permitted operational region. <P>SOLUTION: The permitted operational region for an electrostatic atomizer 18, 18A is set based on the temperature and humidity of air sucked into the indoor unit, operation of the electrostatic atomizer 18, 18A is permitted when the temperature detected by a suction temperature means 92 and the humidity detected by a humidity means 94 are within the permitted operational region, and operation of the electrostatic atomizer 18, 18A is prohibited when the temperature detected by the suction temperature means 92 and the humidity detected by the humidity means 94 are outside the permitted operational region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
