<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of preventing a fault such as an abnormal drop of suction pressure of a compressor or a lubricating failure of refrigerator oil at the start of operation. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner controls the degree of superheat by controlling the opening of an expansion valve 28 based on the refrigerant suction temperature TS of the compressor 22 and the refrigerant inlet temperature C1 of an outdoor heat exchanger 26 functioning as an evaporator, wherein at the start of heating operation, whether a refrigerant flowing into the outdoor heat exchanger 26 is in a superheated gas state is discriminated based on the outside air temperature TO and the refrigerant inlet temperature C1, and when the refrigerant inflow into the outdoor heat exchanger 26 is discriminated to be in the superheated gas state, control for suppressing the opening of the expansion valve 28 by releasing the opening of the expansion valve 28 by a predetermined pulse P is performed instead of superheat control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
