PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent incorrect inspection in inspection of multiple rows of articles. SOLUTION: This X-ray inspection device 10 comprises a conveyor 12, an X-ray irradiation apparatus 13, an X-ray line sensor 14, a quality inspection section 21c, and an initializing section 21b. The conveyor 12 conveys three articles G1-G3 arranged in the lateral direction to a predetermined conveying direction. The lateral direction is set with reference to the conveying direction of the conveyor 12. The X-ray irradiation apparatus 13 radiates X-rays like a fan towards the articles G1-G3. The X-ray line sensor 14 receives the X-rays having transmitted through the articles G1-G3. The quality inspection section 21c inspects each of the articles G1-G3 based on the concentration value of the X-rays received by the X-ray line sensor 14.
