PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor of various setup operations with respect to a plurality of image display devices. SOLUTION: An image display system includes: an image control device (personal computer) 3 to which image display devices 10, 20, 30 and 40 (master projector 10, slave projectors 20, 30, and 40) which receive an image signal and an image control signal are connected through a network 2 for transmitting the image signal and the image control signal to a specific image display device. Each image display device includes: an image display part (image projection part) 5; a communication control part 41 for transmitting/receiving the image control signal; an image reception part 42 for receiving the image signal; and a control part 4 for making the image display part display an image based on the image control signal transmitted from the communication control part 41 and the image signal transmitted from the image reception part 42.
