摘要 <p>A method for controlling a fuel injector of an internal-combustion engine and a controller for such an fuel injector, wherein driving torque is reduced by performing control such that required amount of fuel as needed is pressure-fed to a common rail in simultaneous control of both an electromagnetic control valve at the upstream side of a compression chamber and an electromagnetic control valve at the downstream side. In the method for controlling a fuel injector of an internal-combustion engine, the rail pressure of a common rail adjusted using a first valve for adjusting the amount of fuel supplied to a compression chamber for a high-pressure pump at the upstream side of the high-pressure pump and a second valve for adjusting the amount of discharged high-pressure fuel at the downstream side of the high-pressure pump. The method is characterized in that the rail pressure can be controlled in a control mode where both of the first valve and the second valve are at least controlled in a closed loop, and that opening of the first valve is adjusted according to presence or absence of auxiliary injection other than main injection in accordance with the amount of injected fuel required for main injection into the internal-combustion engine and the amount of high-pressure fuel discharged from the second valve when performing control of the rail pressure in such a control mode.</p>
