PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize a portable communication apparatus that is reduced in thickness for maintaining receiving sensitivity even if it is placed lying on a metallic top board. SOLUTION: A lower casing 114 of a folding type mobile phone 100 provided with a battery box 117 opening in the side of a rear surface 115 includes a circuit board 121 having a feeding point 124 of antenna at the internal side. The battery box 117 is covered with a battery cover 140 mounted removable to the lower casing 114. The battery cover 140 is formed of a conductive member and is loaded to the lower casing 114 via contact members 151, 152 conductive to a reinforcement conductive plate 125 provided as a GND layer of the circuit board 121. The battery cover 140 loaded to the lower casing 114 is electrically connected to the reinforcement conductive plate 125 when it is provided in contact with the contact members 151, 152.
