LIGHT EMITTING DIODE BACKLIGHT UNIT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY HAVING THE SAME

A light emitting diode backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device including the same are provided to obtain the price-cutting effect by arranging a single lens unit on a plurality of light emitting diodes. A light source unit(410) comprises a plurality of light emitting diodes arranged on a substrate. A lens unit(450) is arranged on the light source unit and comprises a translucent panel, a plurality of reflective grooves(470) and a pattern. The reflective grooves are formed at one side of the translucent panel. Each reflective groove has the total reflection surface. The pattern is formed in the other side of the translucent panel. The reflective grooves are positioned corresponding to each of the light emitting diodes.
