<p>A glare prevention apparatus and a method of using the same are disclosed. The said apparatus comprises a base panel having a viewing portion and at least one anti-glare panel movably connected to the base panel. The base panel consists of a blocking portion made of at least a semi-transparent material. The anti-glare panel may be moved relative to the base panel such that the effects of glare are blocked or, when viewed through an overlapping area of the blocking portion and the viewing portion, are reduced relative to the effects of glare viewed through the viewing portion alone. Further, the anti-glare panel and the base panel may be made polarized in order to utilize the cross-polarization effect to control amount of light entering the overlapped area. A specific embodiment relates to a visor that can replace the factory-installed visor in cars.</p> |
