The driving device with stepless speed change can be used in vehicles driven by human energy (legs of arms) such as bicycles, tricycles, rickshaws, vehicles for disabled persons, etc. The device consists of a reverse and a pedal mechanism. The two mechanisms are mounted to the frame (12) of the vehicle. On both sides of the frame the two mechanisms are connected to two sections of a flexible chain (16). The reverse mechanism consists of an axis (1) immovably connected to the frame of the vehicle (12). Thereupon, a cylindrical hub (6) of the steering wheel (3) is mounted, comprising a connector with separator (7) and prism (2). The connectors are switched to a reversing gear. On both sides of the hub there are drums (8) for the driving chains (16). The pedal mechanism consists of a casing (22) connected to the frame (12) of the vehicle. To that casing, the pedal arms are fixed (13). There, in one of their ends, cone rack-wheels (24) are formed engaged to the third cone cog-wheel (17) mounted on a rotating bushing (19) by spring (20). On the pedal arms, two screws (14) with sliders (15) are mounted and two cog-wheels (24). To each cog-wheel, driving chain (23) is engaged, connected to the handle (11). The advantages of the utility model are: it takes a small part of the vehicle frame and avoids the need for greater muscle strength, it provides smooth switching-over of gears and easy positioning of the pedals.
