An advanced water purification process is provided to produce water suitable for drinking water by removing contaminants from raw water using ozone and microorganisms, eliminating contaminants from raw water by physical actions of sand and anthracite, and removing pathogenic bacteria from filtered water using ozone. An advanced water purification process comprises: flowing raw water in a biofilm filter tank to remove contaminants contained in raw water by actions of microorganisms and ozone: contaminants from raw water passing through the biofilm filter tank in a filter tank containing sand and anthracite; sterilizing raw water passing through the filter tank by using ozone in an ozone treatment tank; and storing the sterilized water in a water storage tank before discharging the treated water. The biofilm filter tank comprises a biofilm filter plate consisting of a perforated plate into which a plurality of holes are perforated, and ciliary filter media. The perforated holes of the perforated plate are formed in a circular, triangular or rectangular shape. The biofilm filter tank further comprises a combination of an ozone lamp shell and diffusers installed on the inflow part of a main distribution waterway. |
