The invention relates to a method for renewing a flat and/or shallow-sloping roof of a building, the roof having a supporting shell and heat insulation arranged on it, in particular heat insulation comprising mineral fibre insulating elements, and a roofing membrane being arranged on the heat insulation. In order to provide renewal of a flat and/or shallow-sloping roof, thereby ensuring radical improvement of the heat insulating performance and elimination of the moisture contained in the heat insulation layer while incurring low costs and avoiding the disadvantages of the prior art, the roofing membrane is partially opened and/or at least partially removed, a second heat insulation is applied in a surface-covering manner to the heat insulation, preferably to the partially opened and/or partially removed roofing membrane, and a roofing membrane is applied in a surface-covering manner to the second heat insulation. |
