An absorptive article (1) not staining an underwear (90) with liquid absorbed by an absorption body (20), which is achieved without reducing the amount of liquid that the absorption body can absorb. The absorptive article (1) is used by attaching it to a human body and has the absorption body (20) and a body section (10).The absorption body (20) has a liquid absorption member (22) for absorbing liquid and also has a longitudinal direction, a lateral direction, and a thickness direction. At the body section (10), the absorption body (20) is laid over a surface on the human body side. One end (20a) in the longitudinal direction of the absorption body (20) is fixed to the body section (10). The absorption body (20) has, in the thickness direction, a portion closer to the body section (10) than the liquid absorption member (22) and a portion closer to the human body than the liquid absorption member (22). That portion of the other end (20b), in the longitudinal direction of the absorption body (20), that is on the body section (10) side is covered by a liquid impermeable layer (50), and a portion where the liquid impermeable layer (50) is not provided is present at that portion of the other end (20b) that is on the human body side.
