A liquid crystal display device having a multi-seal line and a black matrix is provided to reduce the bezel width of a backlight unit by remarkably reducing the widths of a seal line of an edge part and the black matrix. A seal is coated on an external line(71) and one or more cross lines(73) on a substrate. The external line is formed along the outside of the TFT substrate. The cross lines are formed as crossing a screen. A black matrix(75) is formed on the external line and cross lines correspondingly to the lines on which the seal is coated at a lower surface of a color filter(70). A plurality of split screens(90) are generated by the black matrix formed in the cross lines. |
